Do you have a sermon every week?
No!

We value the teaching and preaching of God's word, but we also know that how we interact with the word and one another matters a lot.

So, some Sundays we might have a service project, a more contemplative worship response service, or a conversational service with dialogue and question/response.  Have more questions?  Reach out to our church office@ecctucson.org
Do you get political?
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is by nature political, to the extent that politics are all about how resources and people are managed and cared for.  So in that sense, yes, scripture has a lot to say about how we live our lives -especially how we live in ways that care for others.  We are, however, not partisan.  You will not find a candidate or political party endorsed here, but you will likely be challenged to love and serve and vote and be involved ways that are sacrificial and for the good of others. no matter  where you fall on the partisan spectrum.

Do women lead in your church?
God in scripture gives a vision for the blessed alliance - the partnership of men and women serving together in mutuality, wisdom, and faithfulness.  We hope to live that out here at Eastside and have women and men serving together in all functions and roles within the church.

What do you have for kids?
We are thankful for our intergenerational church.

On Sunday mornings we offer Sunday School for preschool-5th grade during the worship service.

We have a nursery/cry room for caregivers of babies and toddlers with audio streamed from the service.

Babies and children are always welcome in the worship service and we do have "busy bags" for little ones who wish to remain with parents.
How does your church approach LGBTQ+ questions?
We hold to the historic Christian understanding of marriage as a covenant of sexual fidelity between one man and one woman. Because of this, our pastors do not officiate same-sex weddings and it is expected our leaders and covenant members seek to live in alignment with this ethic in both singleness and marriage.

We also believe every person is created in the image of God and deeply loved by Him and worthy of dignity and protection. We lament he way LGBTQ people have been uniquely singled out and harmed by the Church.  We welcome LGBTQ+ individuals to worship at ECC as we work out our salvation together on the narrow path with Jesus and live as the family of God.
